Thank you for looking at this page. Let’s hope that you find it interesting and helpful!
As a Registered Charity, we greatly appreciate – and need - donations.
We believe that the work we do here at Shekinah has had a profound effect on people’s lives and has helped many people to heal through God's presence.
One of our ideals is to be able to provide low prices for high quality accommodation and meals; the generosity of people’s donations plays a significant part in enabling us to achieve that ideal.
If you are a taxpayer, you have the opportunity to Gift Aid your donation(s), with the effect being that we can reclaim an extra 25% of your donation. A simple example of this is that a £100 donation enables us to claim a further £25. That’s good news for us, and it is simple to set up; all we need to do is to ask you to fill in a simple Gift Aid Declaration form with your name, address and NI details.
We are blessed that a number of people and organisations choose to donate an amount on, usually, a monthly basis via the use of standing orders. Being able to plan some of our income that way is really helpful to us.
One-off donations, though, can be made at any time, and they are equally appreciated, however big or (seemingly) small they may be. You may think that adding a £2 donation each to the cost of a visit for coffee doesn’t sound much – but adding up multiple occurrences of such donations can, over a year, result in a good amount of income for us. We do not ask for any personal details for this type of donation.
If you are interested in making a donation, but would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss it further, if that would help. We like conversations like that!
As a registered Charity we rely heavily on donations. The work we do here at Shekinah has had a profound effect on peoples lives and has helped many people to heal through God's presence.
We are only able to provide low prices for high quality accommodation and meals due to the generous monthly, yearly and one off donations that we receive.
